🍜 First Bowl in Okinawa! “Shurei Soba & Okinawan Cuisine” Near Naha Airport

Just about a 5-minute drive from Naha Airport, Shurei Soba & Okinawan Cuisine is the perfect first stop after you land in Okinawa. If you’re craving Okinawa soba right off the plane, this is the place.

It’s close to the rental car area too, so many travelers drop by right after picking up their cars. You’ll see a mix of tourists and locals here, which gives the place a relaxed, friendly vibe.

🪑 Spacious Dining – Tatami or Table Seating

The inside is surprisingly large, with both tatami-style seating and regular tables. Families, groups, or even solo travelers will feel comfortable here. Unlike the smaller soba shops in downtown Naha, this one lets you enjoy your meal slowly in a calm space.

🍥 Soft Bone Soki Soba Set – A Local Favorite

I ordered the Soft Bone Soki Soba Set, which comes with small side dishes, soup, pickles, and your choice of plain rice or jūshī (Okinawan mixed rice). The pork ribs are melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the broth is light yet full of flavor. It’s one of those bowls that feels gentle — perfect for your first meal after a flight.

🚗 Location & Access

About a 7-minute walk from Akamine Station on the Yui Rail line. There’s also a large parking lot (around 20 spaces), so it’s easy to visit even if you’re renting a car near the airport.

💬 Final Thoughts

If you want to kick off your Okinawa trip with an authentic soba experience, Shurei Soba is a great pick. The exterior might look a bit tourist-oriented, but the flavor is pure local style — deep, simple, and satisfying.

Next time, I’ll probably try the Squid Ink Soba or Goya Soba. Airport → Rental car → Shurei Soba — sounds like the perfect first-day routine to me!
